Here’s an image of New Jersey republican Gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli taken on the beach in Brigantine, NJ with the Atlantic City skyline in the background. This was a tricky photograph to create. It was about 1pm in June, and the sun was directly overhead. I was told by the ad agency, my client, that there’d be no time during the day’s events for any “lighting set ups”. Never taking the word a non photographer, I made sure I packed everything in my car! Fortunately, my Profoto B1s accompanied me to the beach, and I was able to create this with high speed synchronization. I am not a democrat or republican, for the record. I was simply doing my job, and I hope the client liked what I did for them.
