This stunning bride shows off her wedding gown and veil in the window light at the Kimmel Center. I specialize in photographing dramatic, natural light bridal portraits, and is something I do at every wedding.
I’ve had the good fortune to shoot many Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts weddings. It is primarily a concert venue for amazing artistic endeavors from ballet to musical theatre. Located in the heart of Philadelphia on the Avenue of the Arts, it’s proximity to phenomenal places to make wedding images make this venue one of my very favorites in the region.
With a spectacular view of iconic Philadelphia’s City Hall, many Kimmel Center for the Performance Arts wedding receptions end with me taking the couple outside for a quick five minutes to capture the beauty and ambiance of Broad street with City Hall in the background. It’s an image that everyone loves, and I’m happy to take it. The ceremonies take place in the Hamilton Garden at the Kimmel Center. Nine floors up, it provides stunning, panoramic views of the city, and is a private area away from the concert auditorium. The cocktail hour is held two floors below, and that allows for stunning views of the lobby and auditorium atrium. Weddings at the Kimmel Center for the Performing arts are catered by the incredible Garces catering group. Yes, the famed Iron Chef from the Food Network is behind that organization, and they provide flawlessly prepared cuisine for the events there.
As a photographer, I’m provided with a lovely, convenient venue to capture my couples and guests, and I’ve always been thrilled with what I’ve been able to produce there.
